Rohit Sharma Will become Brand In Test Cricket: Shoaib Akhtar

Earlier former Pakistan pacer praised Rohit Sharma for his knock in Visakhapatnam Test. After scoring his maiden Test double century in the ongoing Test at Ranchi, Rohit has gained more applauds from Shoaib Akhtar.
Shoaib opined that Rohit is a great batsman in the limited-overs format and now has also become great in Test cricket. He expressed that Rohit Sharma is playing Test match as an ODI which is helping him to score freely.
“Now, everyone will admit that Rohit Sharma was a great batsman and is a great batsman. He collected runs at will in limited-overs cricket. However, he realized that he was missing out on bigger action – Test cricket,” Akhtar said in a video posted on his YouTube channel.
“I think Rohit Sharma is now realising what he is capable of. He is batting in one-day style only. Rohit is hitting big sixes and scoring freely. He is now taking revenge from his own self,” he added.
Rohit Sharma can easily break the record of Steve Smith: Akhtar
Shoaib Akhtar opines that Rohit Sharma is taking revenge as he was not given the chance in Test cricket for a long period. Now, he is proving himself, expresses Shoaib Akhtar.
“He now wants to make it up for the time he has lost by not playing Test cricket in the last five years. Had he played Test cricket, he would have easily scored 8000-9000 runs by now,” said Akhtar.
In the ongoing 2019-21 , Rohit Sharma has crossed the average of . Shoaib Akhtar said that Rohit can also easily break the record of Steve Smith’s most runs in a Test series.
“If he continues playing in the form he is playing, he can easily break Steve Smith’s record and score a thousand runs in a Test series.
“Finally, Rohit has arrived in Test cricket and will now become a brand,” he added.
