RAJKOT: Cricket lovers are likely to be put in a catch-22 situation on November 7 when India and Bangladesh clash in the second T-20 international here.

While Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) has banned helmets inside the stadium at Khandheri, police are on an overdrive to penalize those breaking the traffic rules.

"As per rule, among several things disallowed inside the stadiums, helmet is one of them. We cannot allow helmets inside," said Himanshu Shah, secretary, SCA.

When asked about the alternate arrangement, Shah said they would discuss this and try to hammer out a solution.

On the other hand, assistant commissioner of traffic (AC) BA Chavda told TOI that there cannot be relaxation in law even for a single day. "We are not aware about any such rule of banning helmets inside the stadium. It is up to the SCA to make arrangements. We will go by the law."Even as threat of rain looms large on the match, thousands are expected to throng the stadium on Thursday.
