Seven cueists make it to next stage in Senior Snooker

JAMMU, Oct 31: Seven cueists made to next stage in the Senior Snooker, being organized during the ongoing 27th Sub Junior, Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker Championship at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
In the first match, Shubam Dubey defeated Tushar Sharma by straight 2-0 frames (50-20 and 58-38), whereas in the second match, Abhirath Gulathi beat Karan Mengi by 2-1 frames (52-29, 17-49 and 62-17) and in the third match, Amit Sawhney outplayed Jaswinder Singh alias Deepu by 2-0 frames (38-05 and 47-35).
Manav Pathania got walkover against Pranav Gupta in the fourth match, whereas in the fifth match, Abhishek Goswami outplayed Sourav by 2-1 frames (50-00, 47-54 and 56-16) and in the sixth match, Gurjeev Singh outplayed Vansh Gupta by 2-1 frames (47-39, 09-54 and 51-27).
In the seventh and last match of the day, Varun Sethi beat Ansh Bakshi by 2-1 frames (50-22, 55-64 and 54-17).
It is pertinent to mention here that 27th Sub Junior, Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker Championship is being organized by J&K Billiards and Snooker Association under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council.
