Shakib Al Hasan Will Play In Caribbean Premier League 2019, NOC Granted
The BCB operation chairman Akram Khan informed the Cricbuzz that the player has been given the No Objection Certificate (NOC) to play in the T20 league. But the board wants Shakib to be available for practice matches for the next series which is scheduled in India. In November, Bangladesh will play three T20Is and two Test matches against the hosts India.
“We have given him the NOC to take part in the CPL. We are expecting him to be available before the preparation for the series against India though we are yet to finalize the date of his return,” said Akram.
The CPL will have the final on 12th October so Shakib al Hasan will be present before India series. The allrounder missed the last CPL because of his injury and was replaced by Steve Smith.
BCB official also said that they denied the NOC of Afif Hossain who was selected by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in CPL. The board wants him to focus on the practice to prepare himself.
In the CPL 2013, Shakib played as an allrounder for Barbados Tridents. In a match against Trinidad and Tobago Steel, he recorded the second-best T20 bowling figures by taking 6/6 from his four overs. Shakib has played 63 matches Indian Premier League (IPL). In IPL, he made his debut in 2011.
Currently, Bangladesh will fight in final against Afghanistan on Tuesday (24 September). Shakib in the last match of the Tri-nation series played a stunning inning as he scored unbeaten 70 runs in 45 balls. Bangladesh will want Shakib to repeat the same performance in the final against Afghanistan. The third team Zimbabwe was out from the series because of low points.
