The speculation over former India skipper MS Dhoni’s retirement from international cricket is on an all-time high. However, the cricketer has not spoken on the same and has enjoyed his time away from cricket. While many have voiced his opinion that time is up for the legendary cricketer, Shane Watson feels Dhoni is the right person to decide on the same.

Dhoni has been on a break since India’s ouster from the ICC World Cup 2019. He has been spending some quality time away from cricket. MS Dhoni served in the Indian army for a few days in August before moving to America to take a part in amateur golf championship.

The illustrated cricketer was recently seen playing football in a charity game in Mumbai alongside Leander Peas. Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson also recently joined the bandwagon to deliver on MS Dhoni’s retirement saying that he is still playing well.

Watson has seen the veteran cricketer from close quarters in the last two years while playing for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Watson played a very key part in helping Chennai lift the title for the third time in 2018. He also added that Dhoni is the right person to decide on his career.

“He has still got the skill. But it is down to him to decide. He still moves incredibly well, runs hard between the wickets and has beautiful hands. Whatever he does, it will be the right thing because he knows what lies ahead,” Watson told PTI.
