Shloka Mehta hailed as humble daughter-in-law after she is seen carpooling with cricketer Rohit Sharma to attend Nita Ambani’s Diwali party
We know Shloka Mehta is crazy about cricket and has been watching almost every single home match of her family-owned Mumbai Indians from inside the stadium in the IPL. The affable daughter-in-law of Mukesh and Nita Ambani was once seen breaking into a happy dance with her driver after her team defeated Chennai Super Kings by just one run to lift the coveted trophy this year. But, little did her fans know that her camaraderie with the Mumbai Indians’ captain Rohit Sharma is so thick that the two will arrive to attend the Diwali party organised by her mother-in-law Nita Ambani in the same car.
Shloka was seen carpooling with Rohit Sharma at the Diwali bash hosted by Mukesh and Nita Ambani on Thursday night in Mumbai. While her husband Akash Ambani was seen dressed in royal blue kurta and Nehru vest with silk churidar bottoms, Shloka had opted for a bejeweled choli with a baby pink satin printed lehenga and dupatta. She had completed her fashion statement with a maroon velvet zari blouse with a sea-green brocade saree with emerald and pearl jewellery.
Even though Shloka alighted out of the car with Rohit Sharma, she entered the venue of the party with her husband Akash with the two posing for the camera. While Akash looked serious and showed no sign of excitement, Shloka did not disappoint the waiting paparazzi with her familiar smile.
Shloka sharing the car with Rohit Sharma earned her plenty of plaudits as fans praised her for her humility.
Also joining the party were Nita Ambani’s identical-looking sister Mamta Dalal and mother Purnima Dalal.
Not to be left behind were the hosts of the evening, India’s richest couple, who also decided to pose for the camera. The recent good news about Reliance Industries registering record profit appeared to have left Mukesh Ambani quite reassured about his company’s immediate future as he looked quite relaxed while welcoming his guests.
Shloka Mehta’s sister-in-law Isha Ambani looked equally elegant in her saree.
Among notable cricketers aside from Rohit Sharma attending the Diwali bash were former India players Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan and current Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya.
Shloka Mehta got married to Akash Ambani in March this year with who’s who of global politics, business, sports, business and entertainment attending their wedding functions.
