KARACHI: Sri Lanka has been in many controversies from the start of the Pakistan tour. Many Sri Lankan players refused to go on this tour. The tour looked hanging in the balance after the Sri Lankan team was threatened with a terrorist attack. But then the Sri Lankan team left for Pakistan. Sri Lanka will play there in the 3-3 matches and T20 series. Meanwhile, news has again brought the series into controversy. According to a news, the Pakistan Cricket Board has invited the Sri Lankan team by paying a bribe.
This news has now been rejected by Pakistan Cricket Board i.e. PCB CEO Wasim Khan. He has said that PCB is not giving even one rupee to the Sri Lankan team for this limited-overs series. Pakistani media has given prominence to this statement of Wasim Khan. The Sri Lankan players refused to go to Pakistan, but later the team agreed to go to Pakistan. For this reason, it was being said that the Pakistan Cricket Board has given a huge amount to Sri Lankan cricketers to improve the image of Pakistan.
Wasim Khan has said, we are not giving even a penny to Sri Lankan players. They are not being paid anything to come to Pakistan. "What is clear is that PCB CEO Wasim Khan has come on a 13-day tour for which he has not been given any money in advance nor any national team. Will be given in the future. Actually Pakistan has to spend a lot in getting matches outside their country. That is why it wants the matches to be in Pakistan."
