Afghanistan have appointed former South Africa all-rounder Lance Klusener as the team's new head coach. Lance Klusner will replace former team coach Phil Simmons. Phil Simmons' tenure ended after the World Cup played in England. Klusner said that it is a matter of pride for me to work with the talented team of world cricket. I am excited about my work. Clujner has previously worked as a batting coach with the national team of Zimbabwe and South Africa. Clujner played a total of 417 international cricket matches between 1996 and 2004 in his home country. After the end of his cricket career, he ventured into the world of coaching.
