1. Mumbai Indians

Owned by Mukesh Ambra through Reliance Industries, Mumbai Indians is the richest team in the IPL with a market value of ₹803 crores. The team has some of the best players in the world such as Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah. 2. Kolkata Knight Riders

imgKolkata Knight Riders retained Sunil Narine and Andre Russell ahead of the mega 2018 IPL auction.

Co-owned by Shahrukh Khan, the Baadshah of Bollywood, and Juhi Chawla & Jay Mehta the KKR. They have not done that well in the 2019 season, losing momentum early, despite the efforts of Andre Russell with his 510 runs in 13 innings and strike rate at 204.81. The team, which is only the 2nd IPL team to be titled Champion twice, is worth ₹740 crores.

3. Royal Challengers Bangalore

4. Chennai Super Kings

Owned by BCCI former president, N.Srinivasan’s India Cements, there has been a change in 2019 to Chennai Super Kings Cricket LTD, owned by the same person. This club is worth ₹697 crores, the same as the Royal Challengers Bangalore! Mahendra Singh Dhoni will continue to captain the team in 2020.

5. Sunrise Hyderabad

Owned by Kalanithi Maran of Sun TV Network this is a relatively new team, founded in 2012. It has a 2018 market value of ₹498 crores and the stock value grew by 25% compared to 2017.
