Pakistan pacer Mohammad Irfan grabbed the eyeballs when the lanky speedster made his limited-overs debut against India in 2012. Standing at 7'1", Irfan stands the tallest cricketer but that record is in danger with Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars roping in Muhammad Mudassar as a part of their player development program. Mudassar, who stands at 7’5” has already started to grab eyeballs due to his height and the Twitterati has been left amazed to see the lanky spinner.

Mudassar, who comes from a humble background, has been the cynosure of all eyes at the finals of the ‘Battle of Qalandars’. The youngster will train at the Lahore Qalandars high-performance center for a period of one year in a bid to polish his skills. But Mudassar has his own set of problems with picking up shoes being the most difficult part of his daily life. Lahore Qalandars’ latest recruit was hopeful that injuries will not hamper his growth. The 21-year-old further said that his ultimate dream is to play for Pakistan after playing in PSL.

Mudassar has become an instant hit among the netizens and many can’t wait to see the spinner in action. However, there were few who thought it was just a publicity stunt by the franchise and the youngster has no talent whatsoever.

Here's how Twitterati reacted:

Meanwhile, Lahore Qalandars would hope to get the best out of Mudassar after disappointing outings in the previous seasons of the Pakistan Super League. The Lahore outfit has the worst win percentage (30.55) among all the teams. Lahore Qalandars have never qualified for the knockout stages of PSL and would look to break the deadlock this time around.
