Not happy with just a century, Virat Kohli registered his 7th Test 200 as India piled on the runs vs South Africa on Day 2 in Pune. As a result, Kohli now has the most Test 200s by an Indian. He went past Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag who both have 6.

He is also tied in 4th position in the overall list with Walter Hammond and Mahela Jayawardene. With time on his side, there is no reason why he cannot go past Don Bradman's world record of 12.

Kohli was 63 not out overnight and registered his 26th Test ton in the first session. His 200 came just after Tea as he ended the 2nd session on 194. His double ton took 295 balls and contained 28 fours.

He also went past 7000 runs in Tests, the third fastest for India after the same people he went past in the 200 column. As India approach the 500-mark, South Africa clearly have their backs to the wall.
