After congratulating Indian run-machine Virat Kohli for his masterclass against South Africa in the 2nd T20I at Mohali, former Pakistan great Shahid Afridi has named the leader among the Men In Blue as his current favourite batsman in the gentlemen's game. From being vocal on the Kashmir issue to reflecting upon his 'immaculate' cricket journey, Afridi has remained vocal both on and off-field discussions after retiring from international cricket. Known for speaking his mind by making the most of the internet, the humble Pakistani cricketer on Thursday organised a candid question and answer (Q&A) session with his legions of fans through social media platform Twitter.

Holding another #AskLala session Twitter, Afridi was asked about his current favourite batsmen in the world of cricket. "What's your favorite Batsman in Current players ??," a Twitter user quizzed the former Pakistan captain. Afridi was quick to name Indian skipper Kohli first in his list of top four batsmen. Along with Kohli, the legendary all-rounder mentioned swashbuckling batsman Babar Azam of Pakistan, England skipper Joe Root and former Australia captain Steve Smith. Afridi's top four selection was questioned by the fans as many debated the snubbing of New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, who they believe should've been on the list.

Afridi earlier had showered praise at King Kohli for showing valour and grit against the South African side in the ongoing T20I series in India. Indian skipper remained unbeaten at 72 to power India towards a comfortable triumph over the Quinton de Kock-led side. Kohli's record-breaking knock was laced by four boundaries and three massive sixes.

The official handle of ICC hailed Kohli's match-winning innings by revealing an interesting batting stat about the Indian captain across all formats. Sharing the ICC tweet after the match. Afridi saluted the individual brilliance of King Kohli with a sweet gesture. "Congratulations @imVkohli You are a great player indeed, wish you continued success, keep entertaining cricket fans all around the world," Afridi said while complementing Kohli for his splendid innings against South Africa.
