Mumbai: After defeating West Indies 2-0 on their home turf, India will be looking repeat their performances once again in their home den against the South Africa, when they begin their World Test Championship defense during their first home Test campaign.

While, when it comes to Captain Virat Kohli, record comes and goes in each and every match that he plays. Once again, the 30-year-old will be staring at a new feat when he leads his team against the Proteas on Wednesday.

Virat Kohli, who needs 281 more runs to score 21,000 runs in International cricket, will become the fastest batsman in the history of the game, if he manages to achieve the feat.

Kohli requires another 281 runs in 41 innings to be the fastest player to achieve this historic landmark. Currently, Sachin Tendulkar is the fastest batsman 21,000 runs, and he achieved the feat in just 473 innings, while Brian Lara is the second-fastest to touch the milestone (485 innings).

Kohli enjoys playing against South Africa, especially after having amassed 758 runs at 47.37 runs from nine games.
