Virat Kohli wins hearts with his response to Yuvraj Singh's 'yeh bhi din they' tweet
Indian cricket fans were left wondering what Yuvraj Singh really meant when the former all-rounder wished Virat Kohli on his 31st birthday. Yuvi shared a few throwback pictures drawing a contrast between the times when the two players used to spend a lot more time together (both on and off the field) and present. While what Yuvi really meant by 'Aur ek aaj ka din hai' still remains a mystery, Kohli's response to the southpaw's message shows the sort of respect he holds for the retired cricketer.
“Yeh bhi din they ! Aur ek aaj ka din hai ! Jahan bhi ho khush raho, God bless you always ! Happy birthday”, Yuvraj had tweeted on November 05, wishing Virat a happy birthday. Although there are many ways in which the tweet can be interpreted, Kohli responded to the tweet saying: “Uparwaale ke diye sab din mehr hain paji. Rab rakha. Lots of love to you always”.

Yuvraj has had many explosive interviews since retirement, where he has taken a dig over the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) selection committee during the twilight of his career. Be it the Yo-Yo Test, the backing of selectors, the clarity over his role/future in the Indian team, Yuvi had publically expressed his disappointment over the way his situation was dealt with. While many would wonder if Yuvi tried to take an indirect aim at Kohli with his tweet, the latter's response proves how healthy the relationship between the two is.
Having announced his retirement from cricket earlier this year, Yuvraj will be seen playing in the T10 cricket league in the UAE. He has been signed up by the Maratha Arabians franchise in what would be Yuvi's first stint in the 10-over format. He had earlier participated in the Global Canada T20 League after getting an NOC from the BCCI.
As for Kohli, he has taken a break from cricketing duties having played non-stop since the conclusion of the 2019 ICC World Cup. While Rohit Sharma is leading the Indian team against Bangladesh in the T20Is, Kohli was spotted on vacation with his wife Anushka Sharma in the hills of Bhutan.
The 31-year-old will resume cricketing responsibilities in the Test series against Bangladesh in the Test series later this month.
