Lasith Malinga is a big name in world cricket. With his unorthodox bowling action, Malinga has dominated the world cricket for a long time. Recently, a Sri Lankan college cricketer, Matheesha Pathirana, destroyed an entire batting line-up. His bowling action is very similar to the yorker king Lasith Malinga.
Lasith Malinga is very famous for his unorthodox bowling action which makes him master of yorker bowling. The 36-year-old Malinga is still active in international cricket and dominating with the ball. Recently, he recorded his fifth international hat-trick with four wickets in four successive deliveries against .
In his 15-year-long international career, Malinga has played 30 Tests, 226 ODIs and 76 T20Is where he has taken 101, 338 and 104 wickets respectively. He recently became the first bowler to manage 100 T20 wickets.
His unorthodox bowling action along with the accurate yorker bowling skills scares most of the top batsmen. Recently, Sri Lanka has introduced another talented pacer who has very similar bowling action of Lasith Malinga. The 17-year-old fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana recently dominated with the ball in the college cricket. Like Malinga, Pathirana has also the skill of perfect yorker bowling.
Matheesha Pathirana took six wickets in his debut for Trinity College
It was the two-day 1st XI Cricket match between Trinity College and St. Servatius College Matara. Also, it was Matheesha Pathirana’s debutant game for Trinity College. He attracted everyone with his Malinga like bowling action. The fast bowler dominated in that game and managed to pick up six wickets for just seven runs in the first innings. Opposition batsmen failed to give strong answer to that fast bowler. Finally, Trinity College won that match by an innings.

Matheesha Pathirana also featured in the Sri Lanka Provincial Under-19s One Day Tournament 2019 in last July. The fast bowler served in Kandy U19 and played only match in that tournament where he remained wicketless after bowling two overs.
