WATCH: MS Dhoni plays football with Arjun Kapoor and others as sabbatical from international cricket continues
Mahendra Singh Dhoni has not been seen in action after India's semi-final exit from the 2019 World Cup as the speculations regarding veteran wicket-keeper's retirement continue to intensify. Dhoni last played for India in their World Cup semi-final clash against New Zealand where he scored a gritty half-century but failed to get the Men in Blue over the line as they bowed out of the tournament.
Following India's exit, Dhoni had requested the BCCI for a two-month-long break from international cricket to serve in the Indian Army. The former Indian captain, who holds an honarary Lieutenant Colonel rank in the Indian Army, spent 15 days in Jammu & Kashmir with his battalion doing guard and patrolling duties.
After spending 15 days with the army, Dhoni left for the US where he took part in an amateur golf tournament before returning to his hometown Ranchi last month. He was recently spotted playing football with Arjun Kapoor and other Bollywood stars in Mumbai as pictures went viral on social media. Dhoni often engages in football games with his Bollywood friends when he is in Mumbai.
