Watch -Sarfaraz Ahmed Faces The Heat After T20I Series Loss To Sri Lanka
Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has found himself under the scanner after their recent drubbing against a second-string Sri Lankan side. The Men in Greens went down 3-0 in their first series at home after a long time.
The home side hoped for a fresh start under new coach Misbah ul Haq after their dismal outing in the World Cup. The stage was also set with Sri Lanka sending arguably a B-team after senior cricketers backed out citing security reasons.

Especially, skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed was in their hit list who received a lot of criticisms post the defeat. Former cricketer Rashid Latif also urged him to take a break from cricket to regain his form. Sarfaraz’s poor run with the bat has also affected his wicket-keeping and leadership abilities.
So much so, a leader in Pakistan has submitted a resolution in assembly to remove Sarfaraz Ahmed as the captain of their national team. And now a fan in Pakistan was seen destroying a poster of the Pakistan skipper laid outside the Gaddafi Stadium.

Sarfaraz Ahmed had taken over the captaincy duties in ODIs after Azhar Ali had quit the job. He had taken over as the Test cricket after Misbah-ul-Haq retired from the longest format in 2017. Although he has done a fair job but has had poor returns in the recent past which has been the reason behind the fan’s anger.
