WATCH: Virat Kohli stumps reporter with cheeky response after question on MS Dhoni's future
Indian captain Virat Kohli was once again asked about MS Dhoni's future with the team after the hosts steamrolled South Africa in the third and final Test of the three-match series in Ranchi on Tuesday. Kohli came up with a cheeky response to the reporter's question at the post-match press conference after India wrapped up a 3-0 series win. India thumped South Africa by an innings and 202 runs to record their biggest win against the Proteas in Test history.
Kohli addressed the media after the conclusion of the third Test where he lauded the all-round effort from the Indian team. The Indian skipper praised the commendable effort from pace duo of Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami, who picked up 10 wickets between them in the third Test and played an instrumental role in India's victory by bundling out South Africa for 169 and 133 runs in their two innings respectively.
Kohli was also asked about Dhoni, who was present in the Indian dressing room while the press conference was underway. Dhoni, who was expected to pay a visit to the JSCA Stadium on the first day of the Test match, turned up instead on the penultimate day as he watched local boy Shahbaz Nadeem pick the final two wickets on Day 4 to finish the formalities for India.
After being asked about Dhoni's future, Kohli invited the reporter to come and say hi to the veteran wicket-keeper batsman, indicating that he was in the change room. "He (Dhoni) is here, in the change-room, come say hello to him," Kohli told the reporter. A video of Kohli's cheeky response was shared on Twitter by BCCI's official handle.

Dhoni, who has not played for India since the team's exit at the 2019 World Cup, is currently on a sabbatical from international cricket amid intense speculations over his retirement. He has made himself unavailable for selection for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh and has remained tight-lipped over his international future.
