Recently, we came across a fast bowler Mickey Edwards escaping the injury when a batsman struck the ball straight into him in his run-up. Now yet another such incident took place when Wes Agar landed awkwardly at the bowling crease.

The South Australia fast bowler Wes Agar didn’t land his foot in the right way, which saw him sliding on the wrong foot. For a moment, it looked like Wes Agar is in deep trouble. However, thankfully, he was up on his feet and continued to bowl for his team.

Wes Agar recovered quickly:

The incident happened in the very first over of the Queensland innings when Agar was handed the ball to open the bowling attack for South Australia. He bowled six overs in the game and finished with figures of 0/39.

Getting into the details of the match, initially, it was South Australia, who were put in to bat first after Queensland winning the toss. Right in the fourth over, Steketee sent Callum Ferguson back to the hut while Lehmann and Weatherald followed him in quick succession. However, the 62- run knock from Tom Cooper helped South Australia to post a decent tally of 226 runs on the board.

Billy Stanlake was the wrecker-in-chief, who bagged 3 wickets for 38 runs. In reply to the chase, Sam Heazlett scored 51 while the unbeaten half-centuries from Matt Renshaw and Joe Burns helped them to seal the victory. Stanlake was adjudged as man of the match for his 3-wicket spell.

The tournament kicked off on September 21 and the teams are tussling out to be on the top in the points table. Queensland is leading the table with 8 points in 2 matches. South Australia is currently at the bottom of the table after facing defeat against the tournament toppers in their opening match.
