The first ODI match of Paytm Trophy was played between India and England on 15 January 2017. While batting first in this match, England scored a big score of 350 runs for seven wickets in 50 overs. For England, Root played the highest score of 78 off 95 balls.

The Indian team started chasing the goal was very disappointing. The opening four wickets of the Indian team fell within 63 runs. Opener batsmen KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan could not score much runs and lost their wickets cheaply.

But Kohli has got the title of Chase-Master only a little! He scored 122 runs (105 balls, eight fours and five sixes). Together with Kedar Jadhav partnered the Exact 200 run.

But Kedar Jadhav was very amazing. He played his best cricket that day. He scored 120 runs in just 76 balls. Which included 12 fours and four sixes.

After his dismissal, the remaining work was completed by Hardik Pandya. India scored 356 runs in 11 balls already. Kedar Jadhav was given the Man of the Match.
