The West Indies team has been announced for the ODI, T20 and Test series against Afghanistan. The Test team has been handed over to Jason Holder, while the one-day and T20 series will be headed by Kieron Pollard.

It is to be noted that West Indies have to play three T20 and ODI matches against Afghanistan, after which the only Test will be played.

Stat all-rounder Kieron Pollard will replace Jason Holder as captain in the ODI team. Two new players have been selected in the West Indies ODI and T20 teams.


Brandon King, who performed well with the bat in the Caribbean Premier League, and Hayden Walsh, leg spinners who have done amazingly well, have got a chance in the West Indies team. Let us tell you that the T20 series will start from November 5, while the ODI series will start from November 13. The only Test will be played after the limited-over series. All these matches will be played in Dehradun.


These teams do not include Chris Gayle and also Andre Russell and Carlos Brathwaite have not got the chance. In addition, Lendl Simmons has returned to the T20 team after two years.
